Description

Engineering work is taking place between Reading West and Bedwyn, closing some lines.

Monday to Thursday:

  • The 21:37 Paignton to London Paddington will call additionally at Bedwyn and Kintbury and will arrive / depart Newbury and beyond later than normal.

  • The 21:37 Bedwyn to Newbury will not run.

  • The 21:56 Newbury to London Paddington will depart earlier at 21:45 and will operate earlier throughout.

  • The 22:08 Newbury to Reading will depart earlier at 21:48 and will not call at Newbury Racecourse, Midgham and Aldermaston. A rail replacement bus service will run at 22:08 from Newbury to Reading calling all stations.

The following trains will NOT run and will be replaced by road transport:

  • The 21:57 and 22:47 Newbury to Bedwyn

  • The 22:10 Reading to Newbury

  • The 22:25 Bedwyn to Newbury,

  • The 22:47 Newbury to Reading

  • The 23:17 Bedwyn to Reading

  • The 22:30 London Paddington to Bedwyn will not run. Customers for stations to Bedwyn travel by the 22:28 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads as far as Reading for connecting road transport Reading to Bedwyn.

Tuesday to Friday:

  • The 00:17 Reading to Newbury service will be replaced by a bus throughout. The bus will run from Reading stopping for customers to disembark only at all stations to Newbury.

Buses serve railway stations (forecourt/car park/entrance) except where shown below:

  • Reading West: Oxford Road opposite McDonalds

  • Aldermaston: bus stops on Basingstoke Road

  • Midgham: Bath Road Angel public house

  • Newbury Racecourse: bus stops near station entrance on Hanbridge Road
