Amended Great Western Railway services in the Bath Spa / Westbury area on Sunday 27 October

between Cardiff Central / Bristol Temple Meads and Westbury / Weymouth / Portsmouth Harbour

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Bath Spa and Trowbridge, closing various lines.

Trains running between Cardiff Central and Portsmouth Harbour will operate in two parts: One service between Cardiff Central and Bath Spa, and another service between Westbury and Portsmouth Harbour.

Trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Westbury / Salisbury will not run.

Trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Westbury / Weymouth will operate between Westbury and Weymouth only.

Replacement bus services will operate hourly between Bath Spa, Bradford-on-Avon, Trowbridge and Westbury, and between Bath Spa, Freshford, Westwood (for Avoncliff), and Bradford-on-Avon.

Additionally, the following services are affected:

• The 09:20 Frome to Cardiff Central service will terminate at Westbury.

• The 11:25 Frome to Bristol Temple Meads service will terminate at Westbury.

• The 16:48 Bristol Temple Meads to Castle Cary service will start from Westbury.

• The 17:09 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central service (terminating at Westbury) will call additionally, on request, at Dilton Marsh.

• The 17:44 Swindon to Salisbury service will terminate at Westbury.

• The 19:09 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central service (terminating at Westbury) will call additionally, on request, at Dilton Marsh.

• The 22:30 Cardiff Central to Warminster service will terminate at Bath Spa. A replacement bus service will operate between Bath Spa and Bradford-on-Avon, Trowbridge and Westbury.

• The 22:35 Bristol Temple Meads to Westbury service will terminate at Bath Spa. A replacement bus service will operate between Bath Spa and Bradford-on-Avon, Trowbridge, and Westbury, and between Bath Spa, Freshford, Westwood (for Avoncliff), and Bradford-on-Avon.
