Buses replace late night trains in the Blackburn / Colne / Todmorden area from Monday 7 to Friday 11 October

Northern between Preston and Colne

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Blackburn and Hebden Bridge / Colne, closing various lines overnight.

Monday to Thursday:

The 22:51 Preston to Colne service will terminate at Blackburn. A replacement bus will run from Blackburn to Colne.

The 22:58 Leeds to Blackburn service will not run. From Leeds, you should travel on the 22:42 Leeds to Manchester Victoria service as far as Todmorden, and change for a replacement bus between Todmorden and Blackpool North. A second bus will run from Halifax to Blackburn, connecting from the 23:27 Leeds to Halifax service.

The 23:03 Manchester Victoria to Blackburn via Todmorden service will not run. You should use the 23:23 Manchester Victoria to Leeds service as far as Todmorden, and change for a replacement bus between Todmorden and Blackburn.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 05:52 Colne to Preston service will start from Rose Grove. A replacement bus will run at 05:30 from Colne to Rose Grove (earlier than usual) to connect with the train.
