Engineering work is taking place between Llanwrtyd and Shrewsbury, closing all lines every day.

Buses replace trains between Llanwrtyd and Shrewsbury.

Background Information:

Network Rail will be carrying out a 7-day programme of major engineering and maintenance works on the Heart of Wales Line. The work will involve a combination both daytime and overnight activity to carry out maintenance, infrastructure renewals, drainage improvements and vegetation management across key sections of the railway.

In addition, a series of overnight road closures will be in place to allow Network Rail to carry out level crossing maintenance at Dolau, Llandrindod Wells and Ffairfach.
