Engineering work is taking place between Newcastle and Edinburgh via Morpeth, closing various lines over the weekend.
The following services are affected:
CrossCountry
Trains between Newcastle and Edinburgh will not run.
Replacement bus services will operate between Newcastle and Edinburgh, calling at Morpeth, Berwick-Upon-Tweed and Dunbar.
LNER
Trains between Newcastle and Edinburgh will run an alternative hourly route via Carlisle and will not call at Morpeth, Alnmouth, Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Reston and Dunbar. This journey will take approximately 90 minutes longer than usual.
Replacement bus services will operate between Newcastle and Edinburgh, calling at Morpeth, Alnmouth, Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Reston and Dunbar.
Other LNER services to / from the North will start / terminate at Newcastle.
Lumo
All Lumo services will run between London Kings Cross and Newcastle only.
On Saturday, the 20:56 Edinburgh to Newcastle service will not run.
Northern
Trains between Carlisle / Hexham and Morpeth / Chathill will terminate / start at Newcastle.
Replacement bus services will operate between Newcastle and Morpeth / Chathill.
ScotRail:
Sunday only:
Buses will replace trains between Edinburgh and North Berwick, and between Edinburgh and Gorebridge.
TransPennine Express
No TransPennine train services will operate between Newcastle and Edinburgh.
On Saturday, the 19:03 Edinburgh to Liverpool Lime Street service will start at Newcastle, departing at 20:58.
Replacement bus services will operate between Newcastle and Edinburgh.
