Description

Engineering work is taking place between Glasgow Central and Barrhead, closing all lines.

As result, until 13:00:

Please note: due to road closures for the Great Scottish Run, rail replacement vehicles are unable to access Glasgow Central station. Rail replacement buses are now diverted after Crossmyloof or Pollokshaws West to Mount Florida where passengers can connect with train services to / from Glasgow Central.

Glasgow Central - East Kilbride: Train services are cancelled and replaced by a bus service for part of the day.

  • The first train service departing Glasgow Central will be 12:48.

  • The first train service departing East Kilbride will be 13:26.

Due to road restrictions, a mini bus service will run between Busby and Thorntonhall to connect into a larger bus service.

Please note that buses will not call at Thornliebank station. If you are at Thornliebank should use train services from Muirend, Langside or Pollokshaws East, or buses from Kennishead.

Glasgow Central – Kilmarnock: Buses replace trains between Glasgow Central and Kilmarnock for part of the day.

  • The first train service departing Glasgow Central will be 13:03.

  • The first train service departing Kilmarnock will be 13:55.
