Essential improvement work: Buses replace trains between Birmingham Moor Street and Stourbridge Junction from Sunday 27 to Thursday 31 October

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Langley Green and Stourbridge Junction, closing all lines. Please see below for background information on this 5 day line closure.

Chiltern Railways

From the start of service on Sunday until the end of service on Thursday, Chiltern Railways services will not run between Birmingham Moor Street and Stourbridge Junction. Additionally, there will be a reduced service between Leamington Spa and Birmingham Moor Street, due to a reduction in platform availability at Birmingham Moor Street.

Replacement bus services will operate between Stourbridge Junction and Birmingham Snow Hill, provided by West Midands Railway.

West Midlands Railway

Sunday:

From the start of Sunday service, trains will not run between Stourbridge Junction and Smethwick Galton Bridge.

Trains will be revised to run on the following routes only:

• Between Worcester Foregate Street / Worcester Shrub Hill and Stourbridge Junction

• Between Smethwick Galton Bridge and Birmingham / Stratford-upon-Avon

Replacement bus services will operate between Stourbridge Junction and Birmingham Snow Hill.

Monday to Thursday:

Services will not run between Stourbridge Junction and Smethwick Galton Bridge.

Off-peak services will be revised as follows:

• Services to / from Kidderminster will run between Birmingham Snow Hill and Whitlocks End / Stratford-upon-Avon only

• Services between Worcester Foregate Street / Worcester Shrub Hill and Stratford-upon-Avon / Leamington will run between Worcester and Stourbridge Junction, and between Birmingham Snow Hill and Stratford-upon-Avon / Leamington Spa only **

** During morning and evening peak times, additional trains will be scheduled to run. This means trains will be extended to run between Smethwick Galton Bridge and Stratford-upon-Avon / Leamington Spa.

Replacement bus services will operate between Stourbridge Junction and Birmingham Snow Hill.
