Description

A fire next to the track at Aston means all lines are closed. As a result, trains are unable to run between Birmingham New Street and Lichfield Trent Valley / Walsall.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer Advice:

To assist you with your travel, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following:

  • London Northwestern Railway between Birmingham and Stafford to connect with trains to Lichfield Trent Valley

  • CrossCountry between Birmingham and Tamworth, and between Birmingham and Stafford to connect with trains to Lichfield Trent Valley

  • National Express West Midlands on the following bus routes: 6, 8A / 8C, 10A, 11A / 11C, 65, 67, 77, 907, X14, X3, X4, X5.

Rail replacement transport has been requested to shuttle between Walsall and Rugeley.
