Between Aylesbury Vale Parkway / Aylesbury and London Marylebone, and also between Aylesbury and Princes Risborough

Description

Emergency short-notice engineering works are taking place in the Aylesbury area today.

All lines will be closed from approximately 09:35 until 15:35. As a result, train services may be reduced or cancelled on the following routes:

  • Between Aylesbury and Princes Risborough

  • Between Aylesbury Vale Parkway / Aylesbury and London Marylebone via Amersham

Additionally, the 09:16 Aylesbury Vale Parkway to London Marylebone will run 5 minutes earlier than advertised between Aylesbury Vale Parkway and Amersham.

Rail replacement transport:

Rail replacement buses will run on the following routes to help with your journey:

  • Between Aylesbury Vale Parkway and Amersham (for connection with London Underground Metropolitan line services)

  • Between Aylesbury and Princes Risborough (trains are able to run normally between Princes Risborough and London Marylebone)

Ticket acceptance:

Customers with tickets that are valid via Amersham will be accepted on London Underground services between Amersham and Baker Street in both directions.

Additional information:

These unplanned engineering works are a result of the recent heavy rainfall earlier this week. Network Rail will need to close approximately 13 miles of track to repair the signalling cables, aswell as identifying any further damages and carrying out the necessary repairs.
