Description
An earlier fault with the signalling system between Nottingham and Derby / Loughborough has now been rectified.
As service recovers, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 40 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 22:00.

Intercity
Trains on the Intercity route from Sheffield / Nottingham and London St Pancras International can operate, but may be delayed in both directions.
Regional
Trains running between Long Eaton, East Midlands Parkway and Nottingham on the regional routes can run.
There may be knock-on delays to some other routes at Nottingham and Derby stations as a result of congestion around the station.

Derby / Chesterfield

Nottingham
You may travel to Grantham where you should change for a train to London Kings Cross. It is likely to take between 2 and 2.5 hours to complete this journey. LNER, who run the trains between Grantham and London Kings Cross recommend booking a seat reservation. This can be done up to 5 minutes before the train departs here. Leicester
You may travel to Nuneaton where you should change for a train to London Euston. It is likely to take 2 hours to complete this journey. Visit here for lots of useful information about what to expect when travelling via London Euston.
Stoke-on-Trent / Crewe
You may use your ticket on the following at no extra cost:
CrossCountry between Tamworth / Nottingham and Derby
London Northwestern Railway between Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe. Your tickets will also be accepted between Crewe and Tamworth. Connections towards Derby and Nottingham can be made at Tamworth
All of these alternative route options are available in the opposite direction too. Don’t worry about your ticket, arrangements have been made with other train companies for you to travel with your original ticket.
Rail replacement transport has been arranged to operate between Derby and Matlock as follows:
A bus will arrive at Derby at 18:00 calling at Duffield, Belper, Ambergate, Whatstandwell, Cromford and Matlock Bath
A bus will arrive at Matlock at 19:30, calling at Matlock Bath, Cromford, Whatstandwell, Ambergate, Belper and Duffield
East Midlands Railway are currently also sourcing rail replacement transport to operate between Derby and Crewe. You will be updated here once this is confirmed.
