Description

Lines have now reopened following the earlier incident where person was hit by a train between Tottenham Hale and Broxbourne.

As service returns to normal, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 12:00.

Customer advice:

Tickets dated for travel today (Wednesday 9 October) will be accepted tomorrow (Thursday 10 October) at no extra cost.

Your ticket will be accepted on the following services at no extra cost:

  • Great Northern between Moorgate and Hertford North

  • Great Northern and Thameslink between Cambridge and London Kings Cross / London St Pancras International

  • London Underground via any reasonable route

  • London Buses between Cheshunt and Stratford via Tottenham Hale

  • London Overground between London Liverpool Street and Cheshunt via Seven Sisters. Stations on the Seven Sisters route are only a short distance from those on the Tottenham Hale route.

Stansted Express travel advice:

  1. Travel on the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines to London Kings Cross / London St Pancras International

  2. Change for Great Northern services to Cambridge

  3. Change for CrossCountry and Greater Anglia services to Stansted Airport (This will be approximately a two hour journey time)

Make the same journey in reverse if you are travelling from Stansted Airport towards London.

Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
