South Western Railway between London Waterloo / Salisbury and Yeovil Pen Mill

Description

All lines have reopened following an obstruction on the track between Frome and Bruton. Trains running between Westbury and Taunton / Yeovil Pen Mill are returning to normal but may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes, revised or diverted.

Residual disruption is expected until 11:15.

Additional information:

Network Rail had received a report that a cable had fallen across the railway between Frome and Bruton. Specialist staff from Network Rail and Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks attended and found it to be a high voltage power cable. The cable has been made safe and has been removed from the railway. This is allowing trains to run again through the area but delays and alterations remain possible.
