Description

All lines have reopened in the Dewsbury area following the emergency services dealing with an incident in the Dewsbury area. This is impacting trains between Leeds and Huddersfield / Brighouse, and between Wakefield Kirkgate and Brighouse.

Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or diverted where possible.

Major disruption is expected until 15:00

TransPennine Express Customer Advice

Where possible, services will be diverted. Replacement road transport has been requested to run at York, Leeds and Huddersfield. Customers are advised to speak to station staff for further information.

Customers can use their tickets on the following services:

  • CrossCountry between Newcastle and York

  • East Midlands Railway between Liverpool Lime Street and Sheffield via Manchester Piccadilly in both directions

  • Northern between Manchester and Leeds via Hebden Bridge and Bradford Interchange in both directions. (Please note Northern services are affected by this disruption and are likely to be busy)

  • Northern between Manchester Piccadilly / Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street

  • Northern between Leeds and Sheffield
