Description

Emergency services dealing with an incident between Newcastle and Darlington means all lines are closed. Trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 60 minutes or cancelled.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Replacement minibuses will be running between Newcastle and Darlington.

Tickets will be accepted on the following routes:

  • Avanti West Coast between Edinburgh / Glasgow Central and Manchester and London Euston

  • CrossCountry between Edinburgh / Newcastle and York / Leeds / Doncaster / Sheffield (Please note, these services are also affected).

  • East Midlands Railway between Sheffield / Leicester and London St Pancras International

  • Greater Anglia between Peterborough and London Liverpool Street

  • Great Northern and Thameslink between Stevenage / Peterborough and London Kings Cross

  • TransPennine Express between Newcastle / York and Leeds / Manchester (Please note, these services are also affected).
