Description

A fault with the signalling system between Sheffield and Stockport is disrupting services running between these stations. Services may be delayed by up to 30 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 17:00.

There is points failure at Grindleford which is disrupting trains on the Norwich / Nottingham / Liverpool Lime Street route.

Network Rail are currently on site attempting to fix the points.

Trains running through the area from Sheffield towards Stockport are able to run but may be subject to delays and short notice alterations.

Trains running through the area from Stockport towards Sheffield are able to run as planned.

How do I get where I need to be?

You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 60 minutes.

Alternatively you can also use your ticket to travel with TransPennine Express between Sheffield and Liverpool Lime Street at no extra cost.
