Description

Some lines will be closed between Three Bridges and Horsham from 11:00 until 15:00 on Friday 23 August due to the emergency services investigating a previous incident.

Trains running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or diverted.

Customer Advice:

The following stations will have a very reduced service, with the lines being blocked at times:

  • Crawley

  • Ifield

  • Faygate

  • Littlehaven

If you are travelling to or from these stations, or between Three Bridges and Horsham, you may need to use an alternative route and your journey will take at least 30 minutes longer than usual.

There will be rail replacement buses between Three Bridges and Horsham, calling at all stations. Buses will run every 30 minutes. The first bus from Three Bridges will be at 11:15, arriving at Horsham at 11:52. The first bus from Horsham will be at 11:50, arriving at Three Bridges at 12:27. All bus replacements are showing in journey planners.

You can use your ticket to travel at no extra cost on:

  • Alternative Southern and Thameslink services towards your destination, including between Redhill, Gatwick, Three Bridges and London.

  • Metrobus routes including:
    -2 for Crawley and Ifield
    -3 for Gatwick, Three Bridges, Crawley – roughly every 45 minutes
    -10 for Crawley and Gatwick Airport
    -20 for Three Bridges, Gatwick Airport
    -23 for Crawley, Faygate, and Horsham
    -200 for Horsham, Littlehaven, Faygate, Ifield, and Gatwick Airport

Southern services from Horsham via Dorking towards London Victoria are unaffected by this incident.

The emergency services are investigating a previous incident between Three Bridges and Horsham. While this is ongoing, some lines will be closed to allow response teams safe access to the track. This prevents trains from running through the area.
