Description

Lines have now reopened following an earlier failure of the electricity supply in the Huntingdon area.

As service recovers, trains running between Hitchin and Peterborough may still be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 80 minutes or revised.

Please note, Great Northern and Thameslink services are no longer affected by this incident.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

You may use your ticket on the following services at no extra cost:

  • Greater Anglia between London Liverpool Street and Peterborough

  • Northern between between York, Leeds, Skipton, Harrogate and Bradford

  • TransPennine Express between Manchester / Leeds and York / Newcastle

Please be aware that other operators’ services are also likely to be busy.

If you have a ticket dated for Monday 26 August you will be able to use your existing ticket on another LNER service, up to and including Tuesday 27 August.
