Customer advice:
LNER
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following:
East Midlands Railway between Sheffield and London St Pancras International
Northern via any reasonable route
Avanti West Coast between Edinburgh / Glasgow Central and London Euston
TransPennine Express via any reasonable route
Rail replacement has been requested to run from Peterborough towards London.
You can choose to use your ticket dated today (8 July) for travel tomorrow (9 July).
Great Northern / Thameslink
Great Northern and Thameslink services heading south from Peterborough will be delayed. At present, the train that is blocking the line has developed the same fault again, so services will continue to be blocked from leaving Peterborough. This is affecting long distance trains in the area as well.
As trains are unable to head south from Peterborough, some services heading north will terminate at St Neots.
Your journey will be extended by up to 60 minutes.
If you're waiting on a train which is delayed between stations:
If your train is delayed between stations, please remain where you are and listen to announcements, or speak to staff for further information. We'll get you moving as soon as possible. We're aware of your location, and teams will be doing everything they can to help you continue your journey.
Please don't leave the train unless you are asked to do so. Other trains may still be moving in the area, and the track is also a very hazardous environment.
Replacement buses:
Great Northern and Thameslink have requested buses from their suppliers, but they haven't had confirmation of these yet.
If they can provide a bus service, we'll let you know by updating this message.
Bus journeys will take longer than your usual train journey on this route, and if we can, we'll provide a time estimate here.
If you do travel by rail replacement buses, your journey will be extended by up to 60 minutes, especially during rush hour.
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on:
Thameslink and Great Northern services on any reasonable route towards your destination
