Description

A fire next to the track between Knighton and Llangynllo means the line is closed between Knighton and Llandrindod. As a result, trains between these stations are cancelled.

Disruption is expected until the end of today.

Alternative travel advice:

Ticket restrictions have been lifted to help your journey.

Customers are able to travel on alternate Transport for Wales services via Hereford / Newport / Cardiff Central to travel between Craven Arms and Swansea / Llanelli.

Passengers using the Heart of Wales line are advised there is a possibility no replacement road transport will be provided in place of the cancelled trains.

Additional information:

A property is on fire near the railway in the Knighton area, and smoke from the fire is causing low visibility. The fire brigade are on site attending to the incident.

It is unsafe for trains to run until the incident is resolved.

No replacement road transport will be provided so you are advised to travel via the alternate route via Hereford.
