Description
A broken down train near Lockerbie / Carstairs means that the line towards Motherwell / Edinburgh is blocked. Trains running between these stations may be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 90 minutes or revised.
Major disruption is expected until the end of service.

TransPennine Express
Tickets dated for travel today (Monday 9 September) can be used for travel tomorrow (Tuesday 10 September) at no extra cost.

Services are on the move in both directions with northbound services using alternate lines.
A rescue locomotive is on its way to remove the faulty train as soon as possible which will allow both tracks to reopen.
