Description

A fault with the signalling system in the Carstairs area means that all lines are blocked. Trains running between Carlisle and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh may be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 90 minutes.

Major disruption is expected until 12:00.

  • CrossCountry between Birmingham New Street and Edinburgh

  • LNER between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh

  • Northern between Carlisle and Newcastle

  • ScotRail between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh

  • TransPennine Express between Manchester Piccadilly and Newcastle and also between Preston and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh (once lines have reopened)
