Description

Lines have reopened following a road vehicle colliding with a bridge at Longton. As service recovers, trains between Stoke-on-Trent and Derby may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 14:30.

Customer advice:

Network rail have checked the bridge and declared it as safe.

How does this affect my train?

Trains running through the area are now able to run in both directions but are subject to short notice alterations.

The problem is now fixed and the priority is to get trains running to their advertised timetable again.
