Description

A road accident at a level crossing between Canterbury West and Minster means that all lines are currently closed.

As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected to continue until 19:00.

What's happened?

We've received information about a road vehicle collision at a level crossing near Minster, blocking all lines between Canterbury West and Ramsgate. Emergency services and response staff are on site carrying out inspections to the railway, and the affected train.

How does this affect my journey?

Trains are unable to run between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West.

Trains on the following routes may be cancelled or diverted to run are diverted to run via Dover Priory:

  • Sandwich / Ramsgate to London Charing Cross via Tonbridge and Canterbury West

  • Margate to London St Pancras International via Canterbury West

Replacement buses will begin serving all stations between Ashford International and Ramsgate from approximately 16:00.
