Description

Short-notice cancellations are expected in the North West on Sunday 21 July - please check before travelling.

Services on some routes in and around the North West may be subject to disruption. Trains currently showing in journey planners may not run. Northern are working to update this as soon as possible.

It is encouraged that you plan ahead and check your journey before travelling, particularly the last trains of the day which may finish earlier than usual. If you do travel, please leave yourself plenty of time to do so, and don't rely on last services.

Refunds: If your train is cancelled, you can claim a full refund, (provided your ticket was purchased through Northern), on the Northern website.

Check before you travel:

The National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner is not yet showing any changes that may be made for journeys on Sunday 21 July. Please check back closer to the time of travel.

Please also take note of any Service Updates that may be showing with a warning triangle on your displayed journeys.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
