Description

The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain today. The warnings cover Wales and the majority of England.

Please continue to check your entire journey before you travel.

The forecast inclement weather may cause trains to be disrupted:

  • Heavy rainfall can cause flooding that results in tracks being underwater and embankments being damaged

  • Flooding can affect points, which allow trains to move from one line to another, and electrical systems

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner. Please take note of any Service Updates that may be showing with a warning triangle on your journey.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
