Description

A shortage of train crew across the whole Thameslink network means trains may be cancelled or revised.

This is expected until 08:00.

Customer Advice:

A shortage of train crew is affecting a number of Thameslink services. This will also into the early hours of the morning.

Trains between Brighton / Three Bridges and Bedford are particularly affected. Thameslink expect significant disruption to late-night / early morning services in both directions.

There have also been some cancellations between St Albans City and Sutton.

Please note: Other Thameslink routes will also be affected at times, but not to the same extent.

Alternative options for your journey:

If you are travelling on the route between St Albans City and Sutton, you may use your Thameslink ticket on the following routes at no extra cost:

  • London Underground services on any reasonable route

  • London Buses serving stations between Wimbledon, Sutton and Central London

  • South Western Railway services between Wimbledon and London Waterloo

  • Southeastern services between Herne Hill and Victoria

  • London Trams services between Wimbledon, Mitcham Junction, West Croydon and East Croydon

  • Southern and alternative Thameslink services on any reasonable route

Thameslink don't have an exact estimate for the delay to your journey, or how long it will take to make a journey on another route.

This is because it will depend on the exact time when you are travelling, and how far you are heading on either our network or another route.

However, if you are using one of the affected routes, please leave at least 30 minutes of extra time.
