A points failure in the Slough area is causing disruption to journeys running between Reading and London Paddington. As some lines are currently blocked, trains may be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Major disruption is expected until 18:30.
The following alterations may apply:
Services between Maidenhead and Abbey Wood may run between London Paddington and Abbey Wood only
Services from Reading towards Abbey Wood may additionally call at Iver
Services from Abbey Wood towards Reading may run non-stop between Hayes & Harlington and Maidenhead
You may use your ticket on the following services at no extra cost:
Great Western Railway between Reading and London Paddington (Please note, these services are also heavily affected)
Local buses between Reading and London Paddington
South Western Railway between Reading and London Waterloo
Services which normally operate between Didcot Parkway and London Paddington (calling at Cholsey, Goring & Streatley, Pangbourne, Tilehurst, Reading, Twyford, Maidenhead and Slough) will not operate between Reading and London Paddington.
Services between Newbury and London Paddington which would normally call at Thatcham, Theale and Reading will not operate between Reading and London Paddington.
You may use your ticket at no extra cost onboard Elizabeth line services between Reading and London Paddington. (Please note, these services are also affected).
Additional information:
One line in each direction through Slough is currently blocked which means fewer trains are able to run between Reading and London Paddington. Network Rail are on site working to resolve the issue.
