LNER between London Kings Cross and Leeds / Harrogate

Northern between Sheffield / Doncaster and Leeds

Description

Lines have reopened following a fault with the signalling system earlier today between Sheffield / Doncaster and Leeds. As service recovers, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or diverted.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer Advice:

Network Rail are currently on site, working to rectify the issue.

LNER

Customers may use their tickets dated for today on LNER services tomorrow, Monday 22 July.

To assist with your journey, you may use your ticket on the following services in both directions, at no extra cost:

  • Alternative LNER services between York and Doncaster

  • CrossCountry services between York and Leeds

  • Northern services between York and Leeds

  • TransPennine Express services between York and Leeds

Rail replacement:

Rail replacement coaches are in place as follows:

  • 4 x Phantom Travel at Leeds (ETA 17:45)

  • 2 x West Yorkshire Travel at Leeds (ETA 18:40)

  • 1 x J&B Travel at Wakefield Westgate (ETA 17:45)

  • 1 x Ultimate at Wakefield Westgate (ETA 18:40

  • 2 x Ultimate at Doncaster (ETA 18:00)

Northern

Train services are now able to run again between Fitzwilliam and Wakefield Westgate in both directions.

Services between Doncaster and Leeds can run as normal between Wakefield Westgate and Leeds.

Services between Sheffield and Leeds via Moorthorpe will be diverted and will therefore not call at any stations between Meadowhall and Wakefield Westgate.

Trains between Leeds and Sheffield that run via Barnsley are not affected by this incident.
