Description

Lines have reopened between Wimbledon and Woking as the emergency services are now safely clear of the line. Trains may continue to be delayed by 45 minutes or cancelled.

Major disruption is expected until 18:00.

Customer Advice

We were informed earlier of a person being struck by a train between Surbiton and Woking and power to the running lines was switched off, which meant the lines were blocked between the affected area. Power to the running lines have now been recharged and all lines have now reopened, however some services may be delayed, cancelled or revised whilst normal service resumes.

To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:

  • Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Exeter St Davids and routes between Guildford and Reading

  • Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Basingstoke via Reading

  • Southern between London Victoria and Portsmouth and Southampton

  • London Underground between Wimbledon and London Waterloo via any reasonable route

  • London Buses via any reasonable route

  • Falcon Buses 461 between Chertsey - Addlestone - Weybridge - Walton-on-Thames - Hampton Court - Kingston

  • Falcon Buses 479 between Epsom and Guildford

  • Falcon Buses 715 between Guildford - Cobham - Esher - Hinchley Wood - Thames Ditton - Surbiton - Kingston

  • Stagecoach Buses 34/35 between Guildford and Woking

  • First Berkshire RailAir2 between Guildford and Woking

  • White Bus 458 between Staines - Shepperton - Walton-on-Thames - Hersham - Esher - Hinchley Wood - Thames Ditton - Surbiton – Kingston


A replacement bus service will run between Surbiton and Weybridge.
