Description

A shortage of traincrew at key locations across the network, following a recent spike in short term sickness, and planned engineering works on some routes means West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway are unfortunately expecting disruption to train services today, Sunday 30 June.

We advise customers to check their own journey on the morning of travel to see if your services are affected.

Which services will be affected?

It is likely that train services will be disrupted on the whole West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway network with services on the following routes being significantly impacted with multiple cancellations expected:

  • Crewe - London Euston

  • Worcester - Stratford-upon-Avon

  • Worcester Shrub Hill / Birmingham Snow Hill and Dorridge

  • Birmingham New Street - Shrewsbury

Rail replacement buses have been ordered to supplement the train service, however rail replacement bus capacity will be limited and journey times significantly extended compared to if a full train service was able to operate.

You may use your ticket on National Express West Midlands at no extra cost.

Additionally, West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway will accept tickets dated for travel this weekend on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 July.
