Description

Lines have reopened following the emergency services dealing with an incident between Wimbledon and New Malden earlier today. As service recovers, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

    • 461 between Chertsey - Addlestone - Weybridge - Walton-on-Thames - Hampton Court - Kingston

    • 479 between Epsom - Leatherhead - Bookham - Effingham - Guildford

    • 514 and 515 between Kingston - Surbiton - Thames Ditton - Esher - Hersham - Walton-on-Thames - Weybridge

    • 564 between Hersham and Walton-on-Thames

    • 715 between Guildford - Cobham - Esher - Hinchley Wood - Thames Ditton - Surbiton - Kingston

  • First RailAir2 between Woking and Guildford

  • London Buses via any reasonable route

  • Newbury and District routes 730 and 731 between Basingstoke - Frimley - Camberley - Bagshot - Heathrow Airport

  • White Bus route 458 between Staines - Shepperton - Walton-on-Thames - Hersham - Esher - Hinchley Wood - Thames Ditton - Surbiton – Kingston

Passengers are able to arrange their own taxis in order to complete their journey between Wimbledon and Basingstoke, and then claim this back from the South Western Railway customer services team. In order to claim a refund, you must provide:

  • Full contact details

  • The time and date of your journey

  • The stations you travelled to and from

  • A description of the series of events that took place

  • Copies of your train tickets and taxi receipt
