Description

Lines have reopened between Angmering and Brighton following the earlier incident where a person was hit by a train. Trains running between between Havant / Littlehampton and Brighton may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 13:00.

Customer advice

Lines between Worthing and Littlehampton have reopened and trains can now run between these stations once again.

Please note that no trains will call at Durrington-on-Sea until further notice.

Southern are working to return to their scheduled timetable, but please continue to check journey planners and station information boards before you travel. Journeys through the area may still be disrupted for some time, as crew and train stock will have been displaced leading to further delays and alterations to service.

Your journey may still take up to 30 minutes longer than usual.

  • Stagecoach Buses routes 700 (between Littlehampton and Brighton) and 500 (between Chichester and Littlehampton)

  • Brighton & Hove Buses services between Brighton and Shoreham-by-Sea

  • Southern and Thameslink services on any reasonable route towards your destination

  • South Western Railway services between Portsmouth Harbour, Southampton, Havant, and London Waterloo

  • Great Western Railway services between Southampton and Portsmouth

  • London Underground on any reasonable route including via London Waterloo for connections with South Western Railway services
