Details
The Cambridgeshire Student Connect card offers a 50% discount on monthly or longer period Standard Class Season Tickets for rail travel to students aged between 16 and 17 years old in full time education.
If you turn 18 during the academic year, you can continue to use the card to buy discounted season tickets until the end of that academic year.
The 50% discount applies to Standard Class Season Tickets (minimum of a month up to a year), for certain journeys on Great Northern, Greater Anglia, CrossCountry, EMR and Thameslink trains.
The discount doesn't apply to First Class travel, 7-day Season Tickets, Flexi Season Tickets, any other tickets or travel with other operators.
You can view a map of which journeys the discount applies to here - Cambridgeshire Student Connect map
Another option is the 16-17 Saver.
Which gives a 50% discount on most season tickets and other rail journeys throughout England and Wales.
It can also be used for journeys to or from stations in Scotland with LNER, CrossCountry, TransPennine Express and Avanti West Coast.
This could be a useful alternative if you wanted to buy:
A 7-Day Season Ticket or a Flexi Season Ticket within the Cambridgeshire Student Connect area.
Any Season Ticket for a journey not within the Cambridgeshire Student Connect area.
Tickets for other rail journeys, not covered by your Cambridgeshire Student Connect discounted Season Ticket.
