The Highland Explorer Upgrade enables customers of certain Standard Class tickets to travel in Highland Explorer accommodation, between Glasgow and Oban.

Details

Highland Explorer Upgrade is valid in conjunction with the following ticket types:

  • Anytime and Anytime Day

  • Off-Peak Returns and Off-Peak Day Returns

  • Smart Super Off-Peak Day Returns

  • Season Tickets

  • Club 50 Discounted Off-Peak Tickets

  • Central Scotland Rover

  • Flexipass

  • ScotRail Friends and Family Return Tickets

  • ScotRail Employee Staff Travel Passes

Highland Explorer Upgrades are not valid in conjunction with small group fares such as Friends Fare, GroupSave and Kids For A Quid, nor on special temporary promotional fares.

  • Highland Explorer Upgrade is available on any Glasgow to Oban service subject to availability of Highland Explorer carriage.

  • Available 7 days a week.

  • Highland Explorer upgrades are subject to availability of seating in the carriage. Customers wishing to purchase an upgrade on train should be advised of availability of catering offering on train.
