Due to engineering work closing the line between Bristol Parkway and Severn Tunnel Junction, the following timetable amendments will be made:
London Paddington - Cardiff Central / Swansea / Carmarthen: trains will be diverted, and will call additionally at Gloucester. These trains will not call at Bristol Parkway. Journey times between London and Wales will be extended, and trains will be retimed.
Cardiff Central - Portsmouth Harbour: most trains will start / terminate at Bristol Parkway, they will regain the normal route at Filton Abbey Wood and will call additionally at Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill. Cardiff Central / Newport customers should travel via Gloucester for trains between Gloucester and Bristol Parkway to connect into / out of Portsmouth Harbour services.
Filton Abbey Wood – Bristol Temple Meads trains will not run.
Replacement buses will run between Newport and Bristol Parkway.
Due to Saturday night engineering work between London Paddington and Reading, the 23:45 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service will not call at Taplow and Burnham. Customers requiring Taplow or Burnham can travel to Slough where replacement buses will run from Slough to Burnham (journey time of 10 minutes) and Slough to Taplow (journey time of 20 minutes).

Customers requiring Burnham can travel to Slough where replacement buses will run from Slough to Burnham (journey time of 10 minutes).
Monday 26 August - August Bank Holiday
Due to early morning engineering work between Westbury and Frome, the following changes to early morning services will be made:
06:25 Westbury to Frome will depart later at 06:29
06:12 Frome to London Paddington will start from Westbury. If you are travelling from Frome, you should travel by later services
06:18 Yeovil Pen Mill to Filton Abbey Wood will start from Westbury. Castle Cary and Frome customers should travel by earlier or later services. Bruton customers should travel by later services.
Due to early morning / late night engineering work at various locations, the following changes will be made to Great Western Railway services:
05:32 Bedwyn to London Paddington will not run, you can travel on later services
20:48 London Paddington to Swansea will be diverted after Cardiff Central, and will call at Bridgend and beyond later than usual
21:48 London Paddington to Swansea will be diverted between Swindon and Bristol Parkway, departing Bristol Parkway and beyond later than usual. This service is also diverted after Cardiff Central, and will call at Bridgend and beyond later than usual
22:36 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway service will not call at Pangbourne. A bus will run between Tilehurst and Pangbourne
22:49 London Paddington to Swansea will be diverted after Cardiff Central, and will call at Bridgend and beyond later than usual
23:24 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service will not call at Pangbourne. A bus will run between Tilehurst and Pangbourne
23:34 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway service will not call at Pangbourne. A bus will run between Tilehurst and Pangbourne
23:42 Swindon to Cheltenham Spa will depart earlier than normal at 23:19, will terminate at Gloucester, and will be diverted via an alternative route between Swindon and Gloucester. It will not call Kemble, Stroud, Stonehouse. A replacement bus will operate at 23:42 from Swindon to Kemble, Stroud, Stonehouse Town Hall, Gloucester (set down only) and Cheltenham Spa. If you are travelling from Gloucester to Cheltenham Spa, you should travel by earlier services
23:45 Bristol Temple Meads to Frome will terminate at Westbury. A replacement bus will run from Westbury to Frome taking 20 minutes.
