Sunday 25 August
Due to engineering work in the Stoke-on-Trent area, buses will replace trains between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent.
Due to engineering work between Stockport and Navigation Road, services between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester via Altrincham will not run. Buses will replace trains between Stockport and Chester. Other Northern services can be used between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport.
Monday 26 August - August Bank Holiday
Due to engineering work in the Stoke-on-Trent area, buses will replace trains between Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent.
Due to engineering work between Stockport and Navigation Road, train services between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester via Altrincham will run between Altrincham and Chester only. Buses will replace trains between Stockport and Altrincham. Other Northern services can be used between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport.
Late night engineering work in the Blackburn area will result in the following service changes:
22:51 Preston to Colne service will terminate at Blackburn. A replacement bus will run from Blackburn to Colne.
22:58 Leeds to Blackpool North service will not run. You should travel on the 22:42 Leeds to Manchester Victoria service to Todmorden, for a replacement bus from Todmorden to Blackpool North. Another replacement bus will run from Halifax to Blackburn, connecting from the 23:27 Leeds to Halifax service.
23:03 Manchester Victoria to Blackburn via Todmorden service will not run. You can use the 23:23 Manchester Victoria to Leeds service to Todmorden, from which a replacement bus will run from Todmorden to Blackburn.
Late night engineering work between Broad Green and Liverpool Lime Street will result in the following service changes:
22:17 Blackpool North to Liverpool Lime Street service will not call at stations between St Helens Central and Liverpool Lime Street. A replacement bus will run between St Helens Central and Liverpool Lime Street for these stations.
22:43 Wilmslow to Liverpool Lime Street service will terminate at Manchester Oxford Road. A replacement bus will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool Lime Street.
23:30 Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Victoria service will be retimed to run earlier than usual, starting at 23:20 and running earlier than usual to Broad Green. A replacement bus will run from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Victoria at 23:30, dropping off only at stations from Broad Green to Manchester Victoria.
Late night engineering work in the Manchester Airport / Wilmslow / Stockport areas will result in the following service changes:
22:22 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will call additionally at Heald Green.
22:37 Manchester Piccadilly to Manchester Airport service will not run.
22:46 Manchester Piccadilly to Stoke-on-Trent service will be replaced by a bus throughout.
22:57 Buxton to Manchester Piccadilly service will not call at Heaton Chapel or Levenshulme. A replacement bus will run from Stockport to Manchester Piccadilly for these stations.
23:12 Crewe to Manchester Piccadilly service will not call at Handforth, Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, Heaton Chapel or Levenshulme. A bus will be provided from Wilmslow to Manchester Piccadilly for these stations.
23:16 Manchester Piccadilly to Macclesfield service will be replaced by a bus throughout.
23:23 Manchester Piccadilly to Hazel Grove service will terminate at Stockport. A replacement bus will run from Stockport to Hazel Grove.
23:28 Sheffield to Manchester Piccadilly service will not call at Stockport. A connecting bus will run between Chinley and Manchester Piccadilly, calling at Stockport.
23:36 Manchester Piccadilly to Crewe service will be diverted to run via Heald Green. A bus will be provided from Manchester Piccadilly to Crewe via Stockport.
