Description

Engineering work is taking place between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central, closing all lines, this work is extended from Saturday to Monday to Northampton.

No Mainline trains will run between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central.

London Overground are not affected by these works.

Avanti West Coast:

On Friday to Monday, trains will not run between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston. Replacement buses will run between Milton Keynes Central and Bedford, for alternative trains between Bedford and London.

Friday:

  • 1 train per hour will run between Milton Keynes Central and Manchester Piccadilly via Stoke-on-Trent

  • 1 train per hour will run between Milton Keynes Central and Manchester Piccadilly via Wilmslow

  • 1 train per hour will run between Milton Keynes Central and Scotland via Birmingham

  • 1 train every 2 hours will run between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street

  • Trains between Holyhead and London Euston will run between Holyhead and Crewe only

Saturday:

  • No services will run via Northampton

  • London Euston to Chester / Holyhead services will be revised to terminate / start back from Crewe

  • Two trains per hour will run between Milton Keynes Central and Manchester Piccadilly

  • One train every two hours will run between Milton Keynes Central to Glasgow Central via Birmingham New Street

  • One train every two hours will run between Milton Keynes Central and Birmingham New Street

  • One train every two hours will run between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street

Sunday:

  • Until 10:30, services via Birmingham New Street will be diverted via Bescot

  • No services will run via Northampton

  • London Euston to Chester / Holyhead services will be revised to terminate / start back from Crewe

  • Two trains per hour will run between Milton Keynes Central and Manchester Piccadilly

  • One train per hour will run between Milton Keynes Central and Preston

  • One train every two hours will run between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street

Monday:

  • London Euston to Chester / Holyhead services will be revised to terminate / start back from Crewe

  • Two trains per hour will run between Milton Keynes Central and Manchester Piccadilly

  • One train every two hours will run between Milton Keynes to Glasgow Central via Birmingham New Street

  • One train every two hours will run between Milton Keynes Central and Birmingham New Street

  • One train every two hours will run between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street

Rail replacement buses will run between:

  • Preston and Crewe

Ticket acceptance is in the place with the following:

  • Chiltern Railways between London Marylebone and Birmingham Moor Street

  • East Midlands Railway between London St Pancras International and Bedford

London Northwestern Railway:

Train services between London Euston and Tring / Milton Keynes Central will not run.

On Friday, trains between London Euston and Birmingham New Street will run between Milton Keynes Central and Birmingham New Street only via Northampton. From Saturday to Monday trains will run between Northampton and Birmingham New Street.

Train services between London Euston and Crewe will run between Milton Keynes Central and Crewe only.

You are advised to travel on London Overground trains between London Euston and Watford Junction.

Rail replacement buses will operate between:

  • Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central (not calling at Cheddington between 07.00 and 22.00)

  • Leighton Buzzard and Cheddington (shuttle buses)

  • Milton Keynes Central and Northampton

  • Bedford and Milton Keynes Central

Some early morning / late night buses will run to / from London Euston instead of Watford Junction.

Ticket acceptance:

Tickets to / from London Euston will be accepted as follows:

  • On Thameslink and East Midlands Railway services for travel between London St Pancras International and Bedford

  • On London Overground services between London Euston and Watford Junction
