Great Western Railway routes.
Strike action to affect Great Western Railway has been announced by the ASLEF union.
Strike day, Wednesday 8 May
On Wednesday 8 May, between 07:00 and 19:00, an extremely limited service will operate across the Great Western Railway network.
A very limited service will run only on the following routes between:
Reading and Oxford
Reading and Basingstoke
Reading and Redhill (peak time only)
Reading and Newbury
Westbury and Swindon (peak time only)
Cardiff and Bristol
Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple
Exeter St Davids and Exmouth (calling at Exeter Central, Digby and Topsham only)
Penzance / St Erth and St Ives (09:30 to 12:30 and 15:30 to 19:00)
Today, Monday 6 - Friday 10 May:
The Night Riviera Sleeper is cancelled on all days.
Services on the days before and after strikes could also be affected by a limited number of short-notice cancellations and alterations due to industrial action short of a strike.
Saturday 11 May:
The Night Riviera Sleeper resumes.
Some early morning alterations and cancellations are expected.
